Christopher Francazio is the managing principal and founder of Perry, Krumsiek & Francazio, LLC, a health care consulting firm specializing in academic medical centers. He has over 13 years of health care consulting experience primarily in areas related to graduate medical education, revenue optimization, hospital merger integration, process redesign, strategic planning, financial modeling, systems implementation and 3rd party reimbursement.

Mr. Francazio received a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University and a Masters in Business Administration (with a concentration in Healthcare management) from the Yale School of Management. Prior to establishing Perry, Krumsiek & Francazio, he was a principal in the health care consulting unit of Hinckley, Allen & Snyder, and before that was a senior manager at Deloitte Consulting.

Mr. Francazio has managed numerous projects with academic medical centers and teaching hospitals to enhance allowable reimbursement, mitigate risk and improve business processes.  His major responsibilities have included the detailed review of allopathic and osteopathic Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs, the development of programmatic profit and loss statements and financial and operational models, and strategic business planning. He also has experience working with physicians on productivity analyses and the development of compensation plans. Additionally, Mr. Francazio has worked collaboratively with a number of law firms on Medicare appeals.  He has served as a witness on the behalf of clients before the Provider Reimbursement Review Board, and has also participated in mediations.

Mr. Francazio has worked to develop and implement technology applications and solutions to facilitate Interns and Residents Information System (“IRIS”) reporting, as well as performed retrospective reviews of resident count claims to ensure accuracy and compliance.  He currently provides GME outsourcing services to a number of his clients, which include the population and output of the IRIS application, and the compilation of auditable and verifiable documentation that is used to substantiate the resident count claim during future audits.
