PKJ offers representation on a range of environmental and energy-related matters involving regulatory compliance and enforcement, civil and criminal litigation and corporate transactions.  Our attorneys have experience and expertise on numerous environmental law statutes and conventions, including the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Endangered Species Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), and Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).  In addition, the firm’s attorneys have transactional and advisory experience in the renewable energy sector, which has a unique and ever-changing set of legal and regulatory issues.  PKJ’s sustainability practice provides representation throughout the renewable energy and clean technology project development process and beyond.  Our attorneys can also assist clients in interpreting and analyzing federal and state incentives for renewable energy – from small-scale installations to utility-scale generation projects.

PKJ’s Environmental & Sustainability practice is led by Joëlle Hervic.  Ms. Hervic has more than 15 years experience in environmental law practice, representing clients ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies.  Prior to joining PKJ, she worked for several leading law firms, including Shook, Hardy & Bacon, LLP, and Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A.
