Our Commitment
The Food Law Group at Perry, Krumsiek & Jack, LLP is committed to providing comprehensive professional services to the Northeast food manufacturing and distribution industry. We represent successful national and regional food companies and the creative startups that collectively make the Northeast a recognized center of excellence in food industry innovation and entrepreneurship. Our knowledge, experience, and resources for the food industry are unmatched in the region.
Food companies have always faced myriad challenges in every aspect of their businesses. Today, they face greater challenges than ever before. The federal Food Safety Modernization Act of 2011, gives the U.S. Food and Drug Administration expanded enforcement powers and broad new authority to adopt complex regulatory standards and procedures for food companies. Additionally, food companies are experiencing new forms of high-stakes litigation involving competitor disputes and consumer class actions regarding labeling and advertising of health, nutrition, and ingredient claims.
This next generation of food law and litigation will require food companies to fundamentally change the way they develop and market food products. Maintaining compliance with these new standards will also prove challenging. The Food Law Group helps companies successfully deal with the challenges posed by this new environment.
