Immigration – Individual Representation
Our firm represents individuals before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Immigration Courts in obtaining citizenship, lawful permanent residency, employment-based visas, investor visas, sports and entertainment visas, and family-based immigration through spouse or fiancé visas. Our attorneys provide the individualized, personal attention that immigration matters require, both in complying with the highly technical filing requirements, as well as guiding the client through the process.
Our attorneys also have extensive litigation experience in obtaining criminal waivers for clients who have criminal convictions, deportation and removal defense, representation of those seeking asylum or refugee status, cancellation of removal, Convention Against Torture claims, and victims of crime and/or domestic violence. Our attorneys have tried hundreds of cases before the Immigration Courts and successfully litigated cases at the Board of Immigration Appeals.
Recently, our firm has been at the forefront in successfully litigating motions to vacate convictions based on an attorney’s failure to advise the client of the immigration consequences of a conviction, according to the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Padilla v. Kentucky. Any non-citizen with a criminal conviction wishing to obtain or preserve status in the United States should contact our offices. For more information, you can listen to Attorney Sara Elizabeth Dill’s recent radio show on this topic.
