Immigration – Policy & Public Service

The Firm also has a strong commitment to providing pro bono assistance to those in need. Our attorneys have represented unaccompanied alien children in their efforts to attain asylum in Immigration Court, political, ethnic, and religious refugees from Rwanda, Cameroon, Sudan, Iraq, Haiti, and many other countries. Our attorneys recently won an asylum case involving an abused woman from Honduras, establishing one of the early cases that gender and domestic violence constituted the grounds for a grant of asylum. We are also dedicated to the fight against human trafficking and the human slave trade, assisting women and children in obtaining T or U visas.

Our attorneys are also extensively involved in the development of immigration policy, proposed legislation, and appellate representation of individuals before the Board of Immigration Appeals, Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
